Digital Core Design Joins AllianceCORE
and Common License Consortium Programs Bytom, Poland, September 11, 2001 - Digital Core Design, announces its membership in the Xilinx AllianceCORE Partners Program. At the same time, DCD has joined other AllianceCORE program members in founding the Common License Consortium, an organization focused on simplifying the IP licensing process. "In the IP market the most important thing for attaining success, is trust," said Jacek Hanke, President of Digital Core Design. "Good products or services are not enough. Clients have to believe that the core is good and will work properly. I believe that our presence in the AllianceCORE program and the opinions of independent companies of our products will increase client trust in our cores. Further, our participation in the Common License Consortium will ease the process for customers to gain access to our IP." As a member of Xilinx AllianceCORE program, Digital Core Design has joined together with other AllianceCORE members to form the Common License Consortium. This organization offers customers a single set of common IP licensing terms for acquiring FPGA-based IP cores. The SignOnce IP License simplifies the process and reduces the time from initial request to final delivery. DCD's policy is totally committed to fulfill the model setup by the consortium. The AllianceCORE program is a co-operative effort between Xilinx and independent third-party core developers. It is designed to produce a broad selection of industry-standard solutions dedicated for use in Xilinx programmable logic. Sixteen of DCD's IP cores have been approved by Xilinx for release into this program. These cores include microcontroller, bus interface and floating-point operator cores, all of which are available for license under the terms of the SignOnce IP License. About the Common License Consortium Xilinx, the leading provider of IP cores for the programmable logic industry, and members of its AllianceCORE third-party IP provider program have joined together to form the Common License Consortium. All consortium members have agreed to accept a single set of common IP licensing terms, called the SignOnce IP License, for acquiring FPGA-based IP cores. The result is a first for the IP industry - a single set of licensing terms, giving customers access to IP cores from multiple vendors for use in Xilinx programmable logic. About Digital Core Design Digital Core Design (or DCD) was founded in 1999 by by three dynamic partners who were enthusiastically committed to innovative design. The main company mission is the utilization of industry standard off-the-shelf IP cores that can be purchased in a standard form. DCD is able to customize these standard cores to fit particular client requirements and is proud of its back up service, second to none, where most requests are answered immediately. A speedy delivery and fast support service are the main focus of the company's objectives. During the past two years DCD has been able to develop more than 30 IP cores for devices such as microcontrollers, bus interfaces, arithmetic coprocessors and other arithmetic components. Many of these cores are successfully implemented by purchasing companies, and they become defacto, an industry standard. |
